10 Event Ideas for Your Employer Brand
The employer brand is something we often work on in various projects—either as part of a larger event or as a standalone event.
Here are 10 event ideas for employee branding that can boost your employees’ engagement and strengthen your company’s employer brand:
1. “HACKATHON” – Uncovering Innovations
Imagine a “hackathon” or competition where employees have the chance to showcase their creativity and come up with innovative solutions to the problems they encounter in their day-to-day work, within the company, or in the industry. This often turns out to be a truly exciting and engaging experience for all participants.
2. HEALTH & WELLNESS – Show that you care about your employees’ health and well-being
A health-themed employee event can truly improve the work environment by giving employees the opportunity to be inspired by healthy activities and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Organizing a health event—or incorporating it into a larger event—demonstrates how important employees’ health and well-being are to the company.
3. CULTURE DAY – Show that the company is an inclusive workplace
A “Culture Day” is the perfect opportunity for employees to share their culture, food, and traditions with their colleagues. It can help foster an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and respected.
4. LEADERSHIP EVENT – Motivate and Foster a Sense of Belonging
At a “Leadership Development event,” employees have the opportunity to be inspired by industry leaders or internal leaders and develop their leadership skills through workshops and similar activities. In addition to increasing their knowledge, this also provides soft benefits such as a greater sense of belonging and motivation.
5. CSR EVENT – Show that the company is committed to corporate social responsibility
If “Corporate Social Responsibility” is an important part of the company’s strategy, why not organize a CSR event where employees can get involved in volunteer work or environmental initiatives? This shows that the company takes its social responsibility seriously and, at the same time, gives employees the opportunity to make a positive difference on a personal level.
6. FAMILY DAY – Build Pride in the Company
Invite your employees’ families and friends to a family day at the company. This provides a unique opportunity for your employees to proudly show off their workplace and also present a positive image of the company to the people who matter most to them.
7. DIVERSITY – Foster a Multicultural Workplace
A “Diversity and Inclusion Event” is a fantastic way to promote an inclusive workplace and foster an understanding of differences. By participating in exercises and workshops, for example, employees can develop their ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
8. PRODUCT LAUNCH – Foster a Sense of Pride and Involvement
A product launch event gives employees an exclusive preview of the company’s new products or services. It fosters a sense of pride and involvement among employees and, of course, strengthens the company’s brand.
9. TEAMBUILDING – When employees need to get to know each other and strengthen their collaboration
Team-building events are perhaps what most people think of when we talk about building an employer brand. They’re an excellent way to improve collaboration and relationships within the team. Through engaging activities and exercises, employees can get to know each other on a deeper level and thereby strengthen their collaboration in their day-to-day work.
10. JOB FAIR – Find new employees
And, of course, we need to make a push to recruit new talent. “Career Fairs,” “Open Houses,” job fairs (or whatever you want to call them) give potential candidates an opportunity to get to know the company and its culture, meet your employees, and understand the career opportunities at your company. It’s an excellent way to strengthen your brand, but also to instill a sense of pride in your current employees.
