Sustainability at Contrast
We believe that face-to-face interactions are the most powerful form of communication. At the same time, we know that the events industry has a responsibility to minimize the environmental impact that results from people traveling, structures being built and dismantled, and energy being consumed.
But there are many things that can be done much better. We can make smart choices—choices that reduce our environmental impact without compromising the experience. That’s the path we’ve chosen.
We want to raise awareness—within the industry, among our customers, and within ourselves. We want to reduce our environmental impact while improving the quality of what we deliver. And we want to do this together with suppliers who share our views on responsibility, creativity, and a long-term perspective.

We take a structured approach to sustainability
We put our hearts into our work, but we also follow a clear structure.
Our Management System PureAct provides us with clarity, direction, anda comprehensive overview. There, we track our goals, measure progress, and identify new opportunities.
Every year, we publish a sustainability reportso so you can learn about our efforts and progress.

How can you make events sustainable in practice?
Our sustainability efforts are about taking small but important steps every day.
In practice, this might mean (for example):
- We reuse booths, stages, and materials
- We produce prints without dates so that signs, walls, and other items can last longer
- We partner with hotels and resorts that take sustainability seriously
- We offset the carbon emissions from our own travel—and our customers’ travel—whenever we have the chance
- We avoid single-use materials, plan smartly, and sort everything we can
- We show our care for people through good working conditions, job security, and work-life balance

The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals help us stay on track. We are specifically working toward three that are closely aligned with our mission:
