Finance Manager (50–75%)

After 10 years at Contrast, our rock, Ulrika, is moving on to new opportunities. We’re now looking for someone who wants to take over a well-run finance department and eventually develop it further.

Perhaps you’ve worked for a few years under a finance manager and feel it’s time to take on more responsibility on your own. Or maybe you work at an accounting firm and want to get closer to the business, your colleagues, and the projects behind the numbers.

Contrast is an event and brand experience agency with offices in Växjö and Stockholm. For more than 30 years, we have helped companies and organizations create experiences that bring people and brands closer together.

This will end up on your desk

As the Finance Manager, you are responsible for the entire day-to-day finance function and ensure that everything is done correctly and on time. You monitor the company’s and projects’ finances, identify any discrepancies, and provide the CEO and project managers with the financial data they need.

In general:

  • Day-to-day accounting, supplier invoices, and customer invoicing
  • Budget, Forecast, and Financial Reporting
  • Monthly Financial Statements, Reconciliations, and Accruals
  • VAT, taxes, liquidity, and regulatory reporting
  • Project follow-up with project managers
  • Comprehensive payroll administration for salaried employees, from payroll processing and expense reimbursement to employer reporting, pensions, Fora, and year-end closing for vacation pay
  • Financial Statements

Our auditing firm prepares the annual report.

Our project managers handle everything from concept and planning to production and execution. In the run-up to a major event, the pace can be fast, and many pieces need to fall into place at the same time.

This is where your organizational skills and financial overview will be a key asset. You’ll oversee projects from budgeting through completion, assist project managers with the necessary financial documentation, and ensure that our shared work processes run smoothly even during busy periods.

Is this you?

You are a trained accounting professional and have several years of experience in specialized accounting work.

We also believe that you:

  • Works meticulously, in an organized manner, and proactively
  • Enjoys taking responsibility and gets things done
  • Identifies anomalies and determines their causes
  • Has strong IT skills and a keen interest in systems
  • Seeks to improve procedures and enhance the use of the systems
  • Can explain economic issues in a clear and straightforward way
  • Enjoys working closely with both the CEO and project managers

Experience in controlling is a plus.

We use Fortnox, Milltime, Lime, and Microsoft Office.

Job Facts

This is a 50–75 percent position. You can work shorter days or spread your hours over fewer workdays, depending on what works best for you and the business.

You will primarily work at our office at I11 in Växjö. We enjoy working together in person, so remote work is the exception rather than the rule.

The position begins with a six-month probationary period. After that, the intention is for it to become a permanent position.

We'd like you to start as soon as possible so that you and Ulrika will have time to work side by side during the handover.
